🔬 Key Responsibilities
The Microbiologist will be responsible for:
1️⃣ cGMP & Quality Compliance
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Maintain complete and contemporaneous documentation
- Support QMS activities, OOS investigations, and compliance closure
2️⃣ Microbiological Testing
- Perform sterility testing
- Conduct Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET) using LAL reagents
- Execute bio-burden testing for raw materials (RM) and packing materials (PM)
- Perform stability sample microbiological analysis
- Conduct gram staining and colony identification (BBL Crystal)
3️⃣ Laboratory & Validation Activities
- Perform method validation and qualification activities
- Conduct growth promotion testing of media
- Prepare and reconcile standard & house isolates
- Support validation protocols and microbiological method transfers
4️⃣ Water & Environmental Testing
- Perform water testing (physicochemical, biochemical, chemical tests)
- Document environmental and microbiological monitoring results
5️⃣ Cleanroom & Personnel Qualification
- Qualify personnel for cleanroom entry
- Maintain LAL reagent inventory and media stock records
6️⃣ Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with technical teams regarding machine abnormalities affecting microbiological quality
- Escalate abnormalities to Executive / Department Head
🎓 Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm)
- Life Sciences
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pharmaceutical QC microbiology
- Hands-on exposure to:
- Sterility Testing
- Endotoxin Testing (LAL)

- Method Validation
- QMS & OOS Handling
- Strong knowledge of cGMP & SOP compliance
💰 Salary & Benefits (Estimated)
