Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Specialist – Data Science, you will:

- Select appropriate analytical techniques and ML models to solve complex business problems.
- Deliver data analytics and Generative AI projects across therapeutic areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design AI-powered applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Build and test end-to-end ML algorithms for predictive insights.
- Translate prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring business priorities are met.
- Share best practices and contribute to MSD’s community of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 0–3 years of experience in healthcare analytics or consulting.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, data science, and machine learning concepts.
- Hands-on experience with data science tools, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of Generative AI, NLP, and prompt engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD) in STEM.
- Experience in oncology, vaccines, or rare diseases analytics.
- End-to-end project management experience.
- Proficiency in data visualization and stakeholder management.
