Key Responsibilities
As a Literature Surveillance and Reconciliation Analyst at Merck, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the business process owner for literature surveillance activities
- Managing training documentation and user access in literature surveillance and reconciliation databases
- Performing operational activities such as reconciliation, quality control of non-ICSR literature, and article uploads
- Conducting ICSR reconciliation, quality monitoring, and safety spot checks with relevant cross-functional teams
- Handling team mailboxes and ensuring timely action on all safety-related communications
- Ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations throughout the literature surveillance lifecycle
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
To qualify for this Merck pharmacovigilance role, candidates should have:
- A medical or scientific degree (Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related discipline)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmacovigilance environment
- Prior experience in literature safety surveillance and ICSR reconciliation
- Strong understanding of drug safety regulations for clinical development and post-marketing products
- Hands-on experience with ArisG Safety Database (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in global, cross-cultural matrix teams
