Job Overview
IQVIA is hiring a Medical Surveillance Specialist 1 in Bengaluru to support clinical trials by monitoring laboratory data, composing medical narratives, and ensuring compliance with study protocols. This role is critical in maintaining patient safety and data accuracy in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate clinical laboratory results from central labs daily.
- Analyze lab data from electronic data capture (eDC) platforms at defined intervals.
- Compare lab results with protocol-specific reference ranges and prior values to identify clinically significant changes.
- Communicate with investigator sites for additional clinical information when needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the Medical Services Department, central labs, and project teams.
- Identify and report trends or abnormalities in lab results to Medical Advisors.
- Assist in project setup and attend team meetings as required.
- Maintain updated knowledge of laboratory practices through continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, or related healthcare fields (Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Dentistry).
- Experience:Â 2.5 to 6 years in medical surveillance or clinical lab monitoring.
- Technical Skills:Â Strong data analysis, attention to detail, and proficiency in lab data management systems.
- Soft Skills:Â Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
- Preferred:Â Experience in clinical research or pharmaceutical industry.
