Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is a global biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing, and delivering innovative medicines for patients with serious diseases. We are currently hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Oncology & Hematology for our Bangalore location. This is a full-time, field-based role where the MSL will engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and thought leaders (TLs) to advance scientific dialogue and support patient access to BMS therapies.
Key Responsibilities
1. External Environment & Customer Focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs), HCPs, and access stakeholders to address scientific and clinical inquiries.
- Execute medical interaction plans with key accounts (e.g., Army, Railways, CGHS).
- Present scientific data in a balanced, compliant manner and respond to HCP queries.
- Gather medical insights and competitive intelligence to inform BMS strategies.
- Report safety information, including adverse events, per BMS protocols.
2. Country Medical Plan Contribution
- Develop territory-specific medical plans aligned with therapeutic objectives.
- Support cross-functional account planning and medical projects.
3. Medical Support
- Provide scientific training to internal teams (Commercial, Regulatory, HEOR, etc.).
- Support promotional meetings by presenting clinical data and evaluating speakers.
4. Clinical Trial Support
- Assist in site identification and patient recruitment for interventional/NIR studies.
- Support Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) submissions.
- Ensure pharmacovigilance compliance in local studies.
5. Patient Advocacy Programs
- Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to implement education initiatives.
- Support the development of patient-friendly educational materials.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS (Oncology/Hematology experience preferred).
- 1-2 years of Field Medical Affairs experience (candidates with Oncology/Hematology background preferred).
- Strong scientific communication & presentation skills.
- Ability to translate clinical data into actionable insights for HCPs.
- Knowledge of clinical trials, HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research), and healthcare access landscape.
