Job Description: Medical Science Liaison, Eyecare

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will:

  • Serve as an internal medical, technical, and scientific resource to support Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Engage with physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to provide scientific and clinical information about Allergan’s products.
  • Collaborate with Commercial leaders, Therapeutic leads, and the Director of Medical Affairs to set priorities and drive business planning.
  • Present scientific data on Allergan products to healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and researchers.
  • Support research initiatives led by R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Allergan’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for Medical Affairs, field sales, and other internal teams.
  • Represent the Global Medical Office functions, including Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).

Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • An MD or MBBS degree.
  • 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in a Medical Affairs function.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical research is preferred.
  • Strong presentation and teaching skills to effectively communicate scientific information.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft Office tools.

Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to critically evaluate and communicate clinical data.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in a cross-functional, matrix-structured environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60% of the time).
