Role Overview
The Medical Research Intern at 2070 Health will assist the team in exploring advancements in longevity research. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cellular biology, genomics, and regenerative medicine. The intern will contribute to research ideation, experimental validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams focused on longevity innovations.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Research Intern, your duties will include:
- Research and Ideation: Conducting literature reviews on cutting-edge advancements in longevity research, including cellular biology and regenerative medicine. You will identify research gaps, propose new ideas, and engage with experts to refine your hypotheses.
- Experimental Validation: Collaborating with clinical and product development teams to design and conduct experiments. You will collect and analyze data to validate hypotheses and assess the feasibility of proposed longevity solutions.
- Preclinical and Clinical Support: Assisting in planning and developing protocols for preclinical and clinical trials. You will ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
- Translation and Collaboration: Working closely with product and business teams to ensure the alignment of research with real-world applications. You’ll help in developing strategies for the commercialization of longevity technologies.
- Global Research Monitoring: Keeping track of breakthroughs and trends in global longevity research to provide insights and help refine the team’s approach.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Documenting methodologies, results, and processes to build a knowledge repository for the team and future research.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A relevant educational background such as an MBBS, Master’s, or PhD in biotechnology, pharmacy, or related fields.
- 0-3 years of experience in medical research, biotechnology, or working with healthcare startups.
- A passion for scientific discovery and innovation in longevity and healthcare.
- Strong research skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
