Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

As a Medical Information Specialist (MIS), you will be part of ProPharma’s Medical Information Contact Center, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client policies.

Essential Functions:

1. Medical Information Service Delivery

  • Respond to healthcare professionals, consumers, and other stakeholders via email, phone, fax, and scientific meetings.
  • Provide accurate, evidence-based medical and safety information in line with regulatory standards.
  • Document and report adverse events, product complaints, and special situations as per SOPs and client guidelines.
  • Utilize approved labeling, published literature, and standard responses to craft custom medical replies.
  • Log all inquiries into the designated handling system with precision.

2. Quality Assurance

  • Perform quality checks on adverse event reports, product complaints, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

3. General Duties

  • Provide after-hours coverage (rotational basis).
  • Adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Education & Experience:

  • Healthcare degree (Nursing – RN/BS/BA/MS or Pharmacy degree).
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal).

Key Competencies:

✔ Strong medical knowledge (pharmacology, pathophysiology, industry regulations).
✔ Excellent communication skills (professional, empathetic customer service).
✔ Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
✔ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
✔ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
