📌 Responsibilities
For IP DRG Coders:
- Review inpatient hospital records and assign accurate billable codes (Revenue, HCPC, Modifiers, Diagnosis).
- Ensure compliance with billing guidelines and quality standards.
- Analyze workflows and suggest improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle denial management and hospital billing processes.
- Work with Epic and 3M 360 systems (preferred).
For ED Facility Coders:
- Accurately code medical records using Revenue Codes, CPT, Modifiers, and Diagnosis codes.
- Prepare client-specific documentation and ensure compliance.
- Perform denial trend analysis and process optimization.
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance performance.
🎓 Qualifications
- Education:
- IP DRG: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Nursing, BDS, Biotech, Microbiology, BAMS, BUMS).
- ED Facility: Bachelor’s degree (Science preferred).
- Certifications: CIC/CCS for IP DRG, CPC or equivalent for ED Facility.
- Experience: 1–5 years in respective coding specialties.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of payer policies and hospital billing practices.
