Job Description: Medical Coding Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Implement AMA, AHA, and CMS coding guidelines.
✔ Review and analyze medical records, assign/modify CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.
✔ Ensure compliance with NCCI edits, LCD & NCD coverage determinations.
✔ Work collaboratively in a team to improve quality and productivity.
✔ Maintain HIPAA compliance and data security protocols.
✔ Adhere to company policies, including work flexibility and reassignment as needed.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
✅ Graduate with a certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS, CIC, COC).
✅ Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology.
✅ Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
✅ Understanding of Emergency Department (ED) / Evaluation & Management (EM) levels.
✅ Ability to resolve NCCI edits and apply appropriate modifiers.
