Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement updates from AMA, AHA, and CMS coding guidelines.
• Review and analyze medical records, assigning or modifying CPT codes for minor surgical procedures, vaccines, and lab services.
• Extract and code screening CPT and HCPCS codes from medical documentation.
• Verify NCCI edits and LCD/NCD coverage determinations, adjusting ICD-10-CM, CPT codes, and modifiers as needed.
• Collaborate with a large team to enhance quality and productivity.
• Ensure timely and accurate medical coding and edit resolution to meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security in compliance with HIPAA policies.
• Adhere to company policies, employment terms, and work flexibility directives.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Non Certified & Certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC).
• Valid certification ID must be provided during the hiring process.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Understanding of healthcare data security policies.
