Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder or Senior Medical Coder at Vee Healthtek, you will:
- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical procedures and diagnoses.
- Review patient records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy.
- Analyze and resolve coding-related denials for timely claim submissions (Denials Coder roles).
- Perform quality assurance checks to maintain high coding standards (Surgery QA roles).
- Stay updated on medical coding regulations, including CMS and AMA guidelines.
Qualifications
To qualify for our Medical Coder or Senior Medical Coder positions, you should have:
- Experience: 1–5 years in medical coding, depending on the role (ED Facility, Denials, IVR, ENM IP/OP, or Surgery).
- Certifications: Mandatory CPC, CCS, COC, or CRC certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
- Education: Any science graduate (B.Sc., B.Pharm, or similar).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
- Location: Willingness to work in Salem, Chennai, Trichy, Bangalore, or Hyderabad.
