Job Responsibilities
Fermentation Production (Upstream)
- Operate and maintain large-scale fermentation equipment for API production.
- Monitor upstream fermentation processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Document process data and support scale-up activities.
Fermentation Microbiology
- Conduct microbiological testing and analysis for antibiotics, statins, and enzymes.
- Maintain sterile lab conditions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform microbial strain development and fermentation optimization.
- Analyze samples and prepare detailed reports for quality assurance.
- Support R&D initiatives in fermentation-based products.
EHS/ETP/Safety/MEE
- Manage Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE) operations.
- Implement environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols to ensure compliance.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for operational units.
- Monitor waste management processes and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Train staff on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
Qualifications
- Fermentation Production: B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotechnology; 1-15 years of experience in upstream fermentation processes.
- Fermentation Microbiology: B.Sc./M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology or Microbiology; 1-8 years of experience in microbiology labs (antibiotics, statins, enzymes).
- EHS/ETP/Safety/MEE: B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Tech; 2-10 years of operational experience in ETP, MEE, or safety management.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications are eligible for fermentation roles.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
