Job Purpose:

Lilly’s Medical Affairs team ensures accurate, timely, and compliant scientific communication. As a Medical Writer, you will develop regulatory documents, slide decks, training materials, and other medical content to support healthcare providers, payers, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, edit, and finalize regulatory and scientific documents.
  • Create slide decks, newsletters, patient education materials, and advisory board presentations.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all documents.

2. Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead writing projects with clear timelines and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (regulatory, clinical, medical affairs).
  • Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders.

3. Knowledge & Skills Development

  • Stay updated on therapeutic areas, regulatory guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Adapt to different document types (clinical trial reports, manuscripts, HCP materials).

4. Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor junior writers and contribute to process improvements.
  • Share best practices across teams.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, medicine, communications, or related field.
  • Experience in regulatory/scientific writing (pharma/healthcare).
  • Strong English writing and editing skills.
  • Must complete a writing exercise as part of the hiring process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s/PhD in life sciences or related discipline.
  • Experience in clinical development, regulatory submissions, or Medical Affairs.
  • Expertise in therapeutic areas (oncology, diabetes, immunology, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems.
