Job Description
The Drug Safety Physician will provide medical and safety support to ICON’s project teams, ensuring compliance with GCP, pharmacovigilance practices, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Review and assess Adverse Events (AEs) and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) for seriousness, expectedness, and relatedness.
✔ Evaluate aggregated safety reports (PSURs, ASRs, IND annual reports).
✔ Provide safety consultancy on regulatory reporting (expedited & periodic).
✔ Assist in Company Core Data Sheet (CCDS) updates and Product Information reviews.
✔ Support training and compliance in pharmacovigilance processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Medical degree (MBBS/MD) with 2-3 years of clinical experience (hospital-based).
✅ Prior experience in clinical research/pharmacovigilance (preferred but not mandatory).
✅ Strong knowledge of MedDRA coding, GCP, and ICH guidelines.
