Role & Responsibilities
The Junior Research Scientist (Cell Culture Microbiology) will be responsible for:
- Bacterial characterization and maintenance of bacterial cultures.
- Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of microbial strains.
- Conducting antimicrobial susceptibility testing using disc diffusion and broth dilution methods.
- Performing time-kill curve studies and Fractional Inhibitory Concentration (FIC) studies.
- Bioburden analysis in biological samples.
- Ensuring compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Key Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in microbial culture techniques.
- Knowledge of antibiotic sensitivity testing (AST).
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (PCR, DNA extraction).
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
