About the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC)
The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad, is an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. IPC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of drugs in India by regularly updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia, publishing the National Formulary of India, and preparing and distributing reference substances. Additionally, IPC functions as the National Coordination Centre (NCC) for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), which monitors Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to ensure drug safety across the country.

Key Responsibilities (Job Description)
As a Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collection of ADR Reports: Gathering and documenting Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports from healthcare professionals and patients.
- Processing ICSRs: Managing and processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in VigiFlow, the global pharmacovigilance database.
- Quality Review: Conducting quality, clinical, and statistical reviews of ICSRs in the drug safety database.
- Additional Tasks: Performing any other duties assigned by the competent authority from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research from a recognized university/institute.
- OR
- Pharm.D, MBBS, or BDS from a recognized university/institute.
Desirable Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance.
