Responsibilities of Junior Analytical Development Scientist
As a Junior Analytical Development Scientist in the Analytical Development – Drug Product team, your core focus will be supporting formulation development, especially for injectable products. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine sample analysis and method development.
- Managing instrument calibrations and laboratory documentation.
- Preparing detailed analytical reports and maintaining compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Developing methods for assays, degradation products, and dissolution tests.
- Working with advanced instruments like Zetasizer, Mastersizer, HPLC/UPLC, GC, and more.
- Writing online lab notebooks (ELN) and preparing documentation such as SOPs, test reports, and method development reports.
- Reviewing peer documentation and collaborating within a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications for the Role
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or Science (M.Sc).
- Experience: 3–7 years of relevant experience in analytical development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and scientific literature searches.
- Expertise in operating and troubleshooting instruments such as HPLC/UPLC, GC, LC-MS, and GC-MS.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for method and product development.
