Job Description

As a Customer Excellence Specialist at Merck, you will be the primary point of contact for inquiries related to our Pharma Chemicals and Process Solutions. You will play a critical role in supporting our sales representatives and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to commercial and regulatory inquiries from internal and external clients via email, phone, or fax.
  • Acting as an interface among the sales team, supply chain, regulatory affairs, and marketing departments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quotations in close collaboration with sales representatives, while enforcing our pricing policy.
  • Managing requests for commercial documents such as brochures, samples, and product datasheets.
  • Handling product orders, checking inventory status, verifying customer pricing, and processing return goods.
  • Resolving customer complaints and escalating unresolved issues as necessary.
  • Documenting customer interactions and transactions for quality assurance purposes.

Who You Are

To thrive in this role at Merck, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a customer-facing environment; prior exposure to the chemicals, pharmacy, or biochemical sectors is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, both conversational and written.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a flexible mindset to adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster teamwork and a positive customer relationship.
  • A proactive attitude towards customer satisfaction, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Proficient computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office; knowledge of SFDC and SAP is a plus.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications

  • Any graduation; a background in Science is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Commerce or Science.
