As a Stat Programmer 2 at IQVIA, you will provide advanced technical expertise to develop and maintain statistical programs that meet the needs of internal and external clients. You will be responsible for planning and leading the development of project-related solutions across the full scope of statistical programming tasks. Additionally, you will offer technical expertise within the Statistical Programming department and work independently to deliver project solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Perform and plan the programming, testing, and documentation of programs for creating statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries.
- Program analysis databases (derived datasets) and data transfers for internal and external clients.
- Program the integration of databases from multiple studies or sources.
- Develop programming documentation, including plans and specifications, as appropriate.
- Provide advanced technical expertise to internal and external clients and independently deliver project solutions.
- Plan, develop, implement, and validate new process technologies, macros, and applications.
- Act as the statistical team lead for single studies, managing project responsibilities under supervision.
- Understand the Scope of Work and manage Out of Scope for single studies, including budget and resource management.
- Provide training and guidance to lower-level and new staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 1 year of relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of statistics, programming, and the clinical drug development process.
- Working knowledge of computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
