Job Description:

Are you passionate about healthcare and life sciences? Do you want to kickstart your career in pharmacovigilance and drug safety? IQVIA is hiring for the role of Safety Associate Trainee in Kolkata. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, assess, and process safety data and information from various sources.
• Distribute reports/data to internal and external stakeholders following regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and internal protocols.
• Perform pharmacovigilance activities, including:
  • Collecting and tracking Adverse Events (AE) and endpoint information.
  • Determining the initial/update status of incoming events.
  • Database entry, coding AEs and products, and writing narratives.
  • Conducting literature-related activities.
• Attend project team meetings and provide feedback to the operations manager.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all people practices and processes.
• Meet productivity and quality standards while managing competing priorities.
• Identify and escalate quality issues to senior team members.
• Stay updated with training programs and complete assigned trainings on time.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent in a scientific or healthcare discipline.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
