Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surveillance Specialist 2 to join our dynamic team in Bangalore or Thane. This role is critical in providing medical surveillance support for clinical studies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clinical laboratory data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve study objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Project Leadership: Serve as the Global Lead for medical surveillance projects, overseeing training, operational delivery, project communication, and quality control.
- Project Setup: Establish new projects and develop project-specific procedures in collaboration with Sponsor/IQVIA physicians, laboratory teams, and clinical project managers.
- Client Interaction: Represent the Medical Surveillance Team at client meetings, project team meetings, and investigator meetings.
- Data Monitoring: Monitor clinical laboratory data for subjects in clinical studies, identify trends or shifts in results, and alert physicians to potential concerns.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve remote data access issues and proactively address data reporting challenges with IT and laboratory personnel.
- Site Performance Verification: Communicate critical information to project teams and Sponsor/IQVIA physicians regarding site performance and study impact.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on laboratory knowledge through continuing education, seminars, and relevant training programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Life Sciences, Allied Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy), or Healthcare (Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy).
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in medical surveillance and 2 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in clinical research or laboratory sciences are a plus.
