Job Overview: Biostatistician 1
As a Biostatistician 1 at IQVIA, you will play a key role in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and reporting for clinical studies. With appropriate guidance, you will prepare analysis plans, develop datasets, and create high-quality deliverables such as tables, listings, and figures (TLFs). This role also involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production of High-Quality Deliverables
- Ensure accuracy and validation of all tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Check programming logs for cleanliness and data processing accuracy.
- Maintain Data Issues Log and resolve issues promptly.
2. Leadership and Collaboration
- Demonstrate awareness of cross-functional processes and contribute to data quality management.
- Provide innovative solutions to Biostatistics and Programming challenges.
3. Dataset and TLF Development
- Program datasets to industry standards (e.g., CDISC/ADaM/SDTM).
- Develop analysis sets and create tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) with high efficiency.
4. Timeline and Scope Management
- Deliver tasks within agreed timelines and provide regular progress updates.
- Identify out-of-scope work and escalate to Project Team Leads.
5. Risk Management and Knowledge Sharing
- Identify risks to project delivery and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Biostatistician 1 role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics or a related field.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in biostatistics or clinical research.
- Strong knowledge of CDISC standards (e.g., ADaM, SDTM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and statistical software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the clinical drug development process.
