Job Description: Intellectual Property (IP) Intelligence Analyst
Danaher is seeking an IP Intelligence Analyst to join its IP Intelligence Team in Bangalore. This role involves conducting patent searches, IP landscape analysis, and competitive intelligence to support business-critical projects in life sciences, bioprocessing, and clinical diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform patentability searches, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and IP landscape studies for new product development and business growth initiatives.
✔ Conduct competitor patent portfolio analysis using specialized tools for techno-legal insights.
✔ Support M&A activities, research collaborations, and business development by assessing IP risks and opportunities.
✔ Develop and maintain a custom IP knowledge database for efficient information curation.
✔ Collaborate with IP counsel, technical leaders, and business teams across Danaher’s operating companies.
Essential Qualifications:
✅ Master’s or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Genomic Science, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or Bioprocessing.
✅ 1-2 years of experience in intellectual property (patent analytics, FTO, invalidity searches).
✅ Proficiency in patent databases (PatSnap, Derwent, Espacenet, USPTO, WIPO) and non-patent literature tools.
✅ Strong analytical skills to interpret patent and technology trends.
✅ Ability to work across multiple technical domains.
✅ Excellent written and oral communication in English.
