Responsibilities of the Healthcare Data Analyst Role
As a Healthcare Data Analyst at Clarivate, you will:
- Collaborate with Clients: Engage with high-profile clients, from Fortune 500 companies to startups, to understand their needs and present data-driven solutions.
- Develop Data Processes: Design and maintain systems to analyze structured and unstructured big data, focusing on US medical devices and supplies markets.
- Code and Automate: Build software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple sources.
- Ensure Data Accuracy: Evaluate data outputs with a keen eye for detail, proactively identifying errors and omissions.
- Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities for data analysis and experiments to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to product evolution.
- Conduct Secondary Research: Synthesize findings to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience with large datasets using SQL and 2 years with data analysis tools like Python or R.
- Education: B.E. in Biotechnology, Medical Electronics, or B. Pharmacy.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in MS SQL and strong MS Office/Excel skills.
- Proficiency in handling and manipulating large datasets.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and data variable analysis.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in healthcare or life sciences projects, with an understanding of US healthcare or MedTech data (preferred).
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage short- and long-term projects end-to-end.
- Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to MedTech, claims, or pharmacy data, and experience with data from vendors.
