Job Description: Bioinformatics & Biotechnology Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform manual and semi-automated curation of clinical, genomic, and multi-omics datasets.
✔ Annotate genes, variants, pathways, and phenotypes using public databases (ClinVar, dbSNP, Ensembl, HGNC, OMIM, HPO).
✔ Ensure data consistency and integrity by standardizing nomenclature across systems.
✔ Extract and validate data from scientific literature and structured databases.
✔ Maintain high-quality documentation following SOPs and QA/QC protocols.
✔ Support variant interpretation and gene prioritization workflows.
✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate curated data into bioinformatics pipelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
✔ M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Genetics, or related life sciences field.
✔ Strong knowledge of molecular genetics, genomics, and pharmacogenomics.
✔ Familiarity with variant annotation tools (ClinVar, dbSNP, Ensembl, OMIM).
✔ Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
✔ Experience working in Linux-based environments.
✔ Ability to extract data using APIs, web scraping, or automated tools.
✔ Excellent attention to detail and scientific rigor.
✔ Freshers welcome! Candidates with 0-2 years of experience in genomics/biotech will be preferred.
