Roles and Responsibilities
Operators in these positions will play a vital role in the day-to-day manufacturing of tablets:
- Operate and monitor high-speed compression machines for tablet formation.
- Handle film coating equipment to apply coatings for controlled release or aesthetic purposes.
- Ensure consistent product quality, weight variation, hardness, and dissolution parameters.
- Perform in-process checks, cleaning, and maintenance of machinery as per SOPs.
- Maintain documentation for batch records, logbooks, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets while prioritizing safety and quality.
Senior Operators will additionally guide junior team members, troubleshoot machine issues, and support process optimizations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification: ITI, Diploma (in relevant engineering/pharmacy fields), Bachelor’s Degree, or B.Sc.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in OSD formulation manufacturing, specifically in Compression or Coating operations.
- Relevant production experience in pharmaceutical tablet manufacturing is mandatory.
- Knowledge of cGMP, documentation practices, and safety protocols is essential.
