Job Description
Position: Associate STEM Content Analyst – BioChem
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate or early-career professional to join our Abstraction team within the Intellectual Property (IP) Operations Division. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Derwent products and contribute to the enrichment of high-quality patent content.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare abstracts for patents in compliance with the Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) Abstracting Policy Document.
- Conduct thorough analyses of patents to generate accurate, editorially enhanced technical summaries including descriptive titles, uses, novel features, advantages, and key information related to the inventions.
- Capture insightful data from patents to create refined technical summaries that enhance patent records.
- Utilize Clarivate-specific tools for content editing, abstraction, and curation.
About You:
- Education: Recent graduate with an MSc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Medicinal Chemistry.
- Experience: Preferred fresher, or one year of experience in content abstraction or editing.
- Skills:
- Certification in typing is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of patents and drafting.
- Excellent English comprehension and communication skills.
Work Hours:
- Full-time position from 9 am to 6 pm IST, including a one-hour break.
