We are hiring a skilled Associate Medical Coder to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records using ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role plays a crucial part in hospital reimbursement, statistical reporting, and maintaining high coding accuracy (95%+).
Key Responsibilities
✔ Assign ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for inpatient/outpatient records with precision.
✔ Abstract and index medical records efficiently.
✔ Meet coding productivity and accuracy standards.
✔ Participate in coding meetings and training sessions.
✔ Collaborate with medical staff to clarify documentation.
✔ Maintain compliance with AAPC/AHIMA coding guidelines.
✔ Ensure timely completion of coding assignments.
Qualifications & Requirements
✔ Graduate in any discipline (Life Sciences/Healthcare preferred).
✔ Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC) from AAPC/AHIMA.
✔ Freshers (0-1 year experience) in medical coding are welcome.
✔ Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.
✔ Ability to meet coding accuracy (95%+) and productivity standards.
✔ Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
