Responsibilities in the Clinical Data Specialist Role
As a Clinical Data Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of clinical trials by managing data integrity and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring projects adhere to protocols, global SOPs, and GCP standards.
- Reviewing and analyzing clinical trial data in line with Data Management Plans and raising queries for discrepancies.
- Generating and reviewing data listings for internal and sponsor-driven reviews.
- Assisting in testing database functionality and SAS reports with dummy data.
- Managing and maintaining eTMF documentation and executing database lock/unlock activities.
- Training new staff in project-specific data management processes.
This role requires strong collaboration with project teams to support the setup, maintenance, and closure of data management tasks across multiple studies.
Qualifications for the Role
To excel in the Clinical Data Specialist position, candidates should have the following qualifications:
- A degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field.
