Key Responsibilities

As a Safety Science Coordinator I, you will:

  • Assist in processing Expedited Safety Reports (ESRs) and Periodic Safety Reports (PSRs).
  • Maintain adverse event tracking systems and central safety files.
  • Ensure timely submission of safety data to clients, regulators, ethics committees, and investigators.
  • Enter adverse event data, generate patient narratives, and perform MedDRA coding.
  • Conduct listedness assessments for marketed products.
  • Prepare queries for missing or discrepant safety information.
  • Support database reconciliation and compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
  • Train and mentor peers or assistants in daily activities.
  • Coordinate study safety files for archiving and schedule internal/external meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet one of the following education/experience combinations:

  • Non-degree with 1โ€“2 years of safety or relevant experience.
  • Associate degree with 6 monthsโ€“1 year of experience.
  • BS/BA in Life Sciences/Pharmacy/Nursing/Medical Sciences with 0โ€“1 year of experience.
  • MS/MA or PharmD with 0โ€“6 months of experience (residency/fellowship considered).

Relevant experience includes: clinical data entry, data monitoring, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, or quality assurance within pharma, biotech, or CROs.

Skills required:

  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and local language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety databases.
  • Team player with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
