Key Responsibilities – Apprentice Drug Safety
The selected candidate will work in accordance with Fortrea and sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to core pharmacovigilance functions.
1. Case Processing & Data Entry
- Data entry of safety data into adverse event tracking systems
- Writing patient safety narratives
- Accurate coding of adverse events using MedDRA and WHODD
2. Safety Assessment Activities
- Listedness assessment against approved product label (for marketed products)
- Assist in causality assessment
- Query generation and follow-up for missing/discrepant information
3. Regulatory & Reporting Support
- Submission of expedited SAE/SUSAR reports to:
- Regulatory authorities
- Ethics Committees
- Investigators
- Clients and partners
- Support in preparation and review of Periodic Safety Reports (PSRs)
- Compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations
This Apprentice Drug Safety position provides hands-on exposure to real-time safety case management and regulatory documentation processes.
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences (mandatory)
- Academic or project-based experience in multiple assignments
- Exposure to clinical trials preferred
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety processes
- Familiarity with clinical trials and safety reporting
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Salary (Estimated)
