Key Responsibilities
As an Executive – R&D (RT-PCR) at Meril, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing molecular diagnostic tests such as PCR, RT-PCR, and qPCR.
- Extracting DNA/RNA from clinical samples and preparing reagents.
- Ensuring accurate interpretation and documentation of RT-PCR results.
- Maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 documentation standards (calibration, IQC, EQA).
- Assisting in validation and verification of new assays and instruments.
- Following strict biosafety and aseptic practices in lab operations.
- Managing inventory of reagents, kits, and consumables.
- Supporting audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Education: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–4 years in molecular diagnostics labs (R&D or NABL-accredited preferred).
- Hands-on expertise in RT-PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, and POCT-based NAAT tests.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 standards and documentation protocols.
- Strong focus on laboratory safety and biosafety practices.
