Key Responsibilities

Microbiological Testing & QC Activities

  • Perform routine and complex microbiological testing (Bioburden, BET, Sterility, MLT, EM monitoring)
  • Conduct water testing, environmental monitoring, and personnel monitoring
  • Execute aseptic techniques and microbial enumeration

Method Validation & Compliance

  • Perform test method validation and verification
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and GxP documentation practices
  • Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits

Investigations & Troubleshooting

  • Handle OOS (Out of Specification) and OOT investigations
  • Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
  • Troubleshoot microbiology instruments and testing issues

Documentation & Data Integrity

  • Maintain accurate lab records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity and audit trail review
  • Manage SOP preparation, protocols, and reports

Validation & Laboratory Management

  • Support validation of:
    • Autoclaves, HVAC, and classified areas
    • Cleaning & disinfectant processes
    • Sterilization processes and hold time studies
  • Manage media preparation and inventory

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s in Microbiology / Life Sciences

Experience

  • 2โ€“6 years in QC Microbiology
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or medical devices

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • GMP, GLP, GxP regulations
    • Microbiology test methods & instrumentation
    • OOS/OOT investigation procedures
  • Familiarity with:
    • ISO 13485, FDA regulations
    • Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
