Key Responsibilities
Microbiological Testing & QC Activities
- Perform routine and complex microbiological testing (Bioburden, BET, Sterility, MLT, EM monitoring)
- Conduct water testing, environmental monitoring, and personnel monitoring
- Execute aseptic techniques and microbial enumeration
Method Validation & Compliance
- Perform test method validation and verification
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and GxP documentation practices
- Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits
Investigations & Troubleshooting
- Handle OOS (Out of Specification) and OOT investigations
- Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
- Troubleshoot microbiology instruments and testing issues
Documentation & Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate lab records and reports
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and audit trail review
- Manage SOP preparation, protocols, and reports
Validation & Laboratory Management
- Support validation of:
- Autoclaves, HVAC, and classified areas
- Cleaning & disinfectant processes
- Sterilization processes and hold time studies
- Manage media preparation and inventory
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs in Microbiology / Life Sciences
Experience
- 2โ6 years in QC Microbiology
- Experience in pharma, biotech, or medical devices
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- GMP, GLP, GxP regulations
- Microbiology test methods & instrumentation
- OOS/OOT investigation procedures
- Familiarity with:
- ISO 13485, FDA regulations
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
