Job Responsibilities

The Medical Information Specialist role is vital to ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. Here are the primary responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers with scientifically balanced, evidence-based, and non-promotional information.
  • Adverse Event Reporting: Identify and handle adverse events and product complaints, complying with regulatory standards such as FDA post-marketing guidelines.
  • Medical Writing: Create custom responses to medical inquiries and document adverse events or product complaint narratives.
  • Multichannel Interaction: Manage customer requests across diverse platforms, including phone, email, CRM systems, and chat.
  • Quality Coordination: Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs teams to address product-related complaints effectively.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated on product-specific information, therapeutic areas, and client-specific requirements.
  • Documentation: Ensure high-quality records and maintain excellent customer service standards.

Qualifications
