Job Responsibilities
As a Clinical SAS Programmer at IQVIA, your responsibilities will include:
- Database Design and Modifications: Assist with database design or modifications to resolve database processing problems while considering computer equipment capacity, operating time, and the desired results.
- Clinical Data Management: Import, access, and manage clinical data. Handle missing values, read raw data files, create data structures, and handle programming errors efficiently.
- Report Generation: Utilize SAS Output Delivery System (ODS) to generate reports in formats like RTF, PDF, and HTML. Prepare listings and custom reports according to customer specifications.
- Programming in SAS: Use SAS programming (Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL) to create datasets from raw clinical data. You will also develop project-specific macros and formats and load client data from other platforms.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders to resolve any non-routine problems.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of experience in the database administration area, preferably within the clinical or healthcare domain.
- Strong clinical domain knowledge and an understanding of clinical trial phases.
- Technical proficiency in SAS: Experience in Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, and SAS Grid.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Clinical SAS Programming: Ability to handle clinical data import, manipulation, and reporting using SAS tools.
- SAS ODS Knowledge: Experience in generating clinical reports in various formats like RTF, PDF, and HTML.
- Strong SAS Programming Skills: Proficiency in SAS/BASE, SAS/Advance SAS, SAS/Macros, and SAS/SQL.
