Essential Qualifications
- M.Sc (Ag) with specialization in Agricultural Entomology, Agronomy, or Extension.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Agricultural Entomology.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Agriculture Extension, including ICT-based community mobilization and knowledge dissemination.
Job Description
As a Development Coordinator / Scientist at MSSRF, you will play a pivotal role in promoting climate-resilient agriculture and empowering small and marginal farmers. Key responsibilities include:
- Capacity Building: Conducting training programs for farmers, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and partners on sustainable agricultural practices.
- Knowledge Management: Developing and disseminating location-specific, demand-driven content using ICT tools such as text, audio, video, and posters.
- Community Engagement: Conducting need assessments among men, women, and youth farmers to address their specific challenges.
- Plant Health Initiatives: Organizing plant clinic programs to diagnose and resolve plant health issues.
- Gender and Youth Integration: Strengthening gender-responsive approaches and encouraging youth participation in agricultural activities.
- Documentation: Preparing case studies, feedback reports, and project documentation to track progress and impact.
