Ferring India is inviting applications for the position of Intern – CMC (Analytical) at its FHPDC R&D center in Hyderabad. This opportunity is ideal for M.Pharm, M.Sc Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences graduates seeking real-world exposure to analytical method development, validation, and pharmaceutical R&D operations.
This 12-month full-time internship offers hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, dissolution testing, and regulatory-compliant documentation aligned with FDA, ICH, and USP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities – CMC Analytical Internship
Method Development & Validation
- Assist in analytical method development and validation using HPLC, GC, FTIR, NMR, UV-Vis, and dissolution testing
- Support optimization of analytical procedures for accuracy, precision, and robustness
Sample Preparation & Analysis
- Perform dissolution, dilution, extraction, and filtration of samples
- Analyze APIs, excipients, intermediates, and finished dosage forms
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and traceability of analytical data
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain laboratory notebooks as per GLP requirements
- Prepare analytical reports, SOPs, and test methods
- Follow FDA, ICH, USP, and internal quality guidelines
Data Interpretation & Reporting
- Assist in data interpretation and troubleshooting analytical issues
- Present findings during internal team meetings
Lab Maintenance & Safety
- Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of instruments
- Follow chemical safety and waste disposal protocols
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Formulation Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance teams
- Support multidisciplinary drug development programs
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Completed or awaiting final results of Master’s degree in:
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Related disciplines
- Basic knowledge of HPLC, GC, spectroscopy preferred
- Familiarity with FDA and ICH guidelines is an advantage
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
