Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of clinical trial data. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and Managing Test Cases: Develop and enter test cases into the Data Management Plan to support clinical trial processes.
- Performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Execute UAT for edit checks ready for testing, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Updating Edit Check Status: Maintain accurate records of edit check statuses in the Data Management Plan and Clinical Trial Database (CTDB).
- Issue Communication: Collaborate with programmers to address and resolve issues with erroneous edit checks.
- Compliance with Procedures: Adhere to core operating procedures and working instructions to maintain high standards.
- Team Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with study teams to support seamless clinical operations.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Potentially serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead specific UAT tasks or processes.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within clinical data management environments.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Clinical Data Management (CDM) processes and the role of UAT in the clinical trial lifecycle.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in a hybrid model (especially in Kochi) and adapt to shift-based schedules to support global operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in creating test cases, performing UAT, and updating clinical trial databases.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with study teams and programmers.
- Leadership: Ability to take on SME responsibilities for specific UAT tasks or processes.
