In this role, you will manage and support the centralized monitoring systems essential to AstraZeneca’s clinical studies. From system configuration to documentation, this position involves developing and maintaining monitoring functionalities that help ensure the readiness of the CM platform. You’ll work closely with other Data Scientists and teams in creating and implementing data monitoring strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration
- Perform basic administration tasks such as managing system access, handling change requests, and documenting issue management.
- System Configuration for CM
- Configure data sources and set up workspaces and repositories to support new studies.
- Development and Maintenance
- Develop CM functionalities of lower complexity, including requirements gathering, programming, testing, and documentation.
- Execution of CM Analyses
- Configure and prepare systems to execute CM analyses for assigned studies, ensuring data sources are well-maintained.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Education: A B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, BSc, MSc, or PhD in Life Science, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Knowledge of information and knowledge management within a clinical or scientific context.
- Programming: Basic understanding of at least one programming language used for data analysis.
- Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team setting.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- R Programming: Basic knowledge of R is a plus.
- Business Intelligence (BI) Platforms: Experience with BI platforms is advantageous.
- Clinical Research: Familiarity with life sciences and clinical studies will be beneficial.
