Job Description: Senior Clinical Coding Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Clinical Coding Specialist (SCCS) at Novotech, you will:
✔ Lead medical coding activities for clinical trial data, ensuring compliance with SOPs and industry standards.
✔ Review and validate coded medical terms using standardized dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO-DD).
✔ Generate and resolve data queries related to coding discrepancies.
✔ Configure and manage coding software applications for efficiency.
✔ Provide training and mentorship to junior coding specialists.
✔ Ensure dictionary licensing compliance and version control.
✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Management, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations).
✔ Drive process improvements in clinical coding practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or related field.
✅ 4+ years of experience in clinical coding or data management (pharma/CRO).
✅ Expertise in medical dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO-DD) and coding tools.
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
✅ Experience in training and supervising coding teams.
