Job Description: Medical Science Liaison – Oncology & Hematology

As an MSL, you will serve as a scientific expert, engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), thought leaders (TLs), and key stakeholders to advance the understanding and appropriate use of BMS medicines. This field-based role requires you to spend 60-70% of your time engaging with external customers, ensuring the safe and effective use of BMS products.

Key Responsibilities

  1. External Engagement and Scientific Dialogue
    • Develop and maintain relationships with TLs, HCPs, and access stakeholders.
    • Provide scientific and clinical information on disease management and BMS products in a fair and balanced manner.
    • Address unsolicited medical inquiries and present Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) data.
  2. Medical Strategy and Insight Generation
    • Execute medical interaction plans for key accounts (e.g., Army, Railways, CGHS).
    • Gather and share medical insights to inform strategy development.
    • Stay updated on treatment strategies, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape.
  3. Clinical Trial Support
    • Support interventional and non-interventional research studies, including site identification and patient recruitment.
    • Assist HCPs with Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) submissions.
    • Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance protocols.
  4. Patient Advocacy and Education
    • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to implement patient education programs.
    • Contribute to the development of patient education materials.
  5. Internal Collaboration
    • Provide scientific support to internal teams, including Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access.
    • Deliver medical training and scientific updates to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: MBBS, MD, BDS, or MDS.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of field medical experience in medical affairs, preferably in oncology/hematology.
  • Skills:
    • Strong scientific and clinical knowledge.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Preferred Knowledge:
    • Understanding of clinical trial design and HEOR concepts.
    • Familiarity with the national healthcare and access environment.
