Job Opportunity: Biostatistician – CRC1 Project
SJRI is seeking a qualified Biostatistician to join its research team for the CRC1 Project. This role involves conducting statistical analyses on various research studies related to nutrition, public health, health technology, and clinical trials, including longitudinal, interventional, observational, cohort studies, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and qualitative studies.

Responsibilities in the Job
The Biostatistician will be responsible for:
- Designing study protocols and preparing statistical analysis plans.
- Conducting biostatistical analyses on large and complex datasets.
- Cleaning and managing research databases.
- Developing high-quality tables and figures for research publications.
- Writing and documenting SPSS, SAS, or R programs for data cleaning and analysis.
- Managing data-related aspects of research projects.
- Performing statistical analyses for grant applications and research manuscripts.
- Assisting in electronic data archiving and qualitative data analysis.
Qualification Requirements
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field (such as Epidemiology or Data Science).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in applying statistical methods to clinical trials, public health, and biomedical research.
- Languages Required: English, Kannada, Hindi, and South Indian languages.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, and R.
- Experience in handling large datasets and database management.
- Ability to create publishable-quality tables and figures.
- Understanding of research methodologies in clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
