Job Description: Bioinformatician
Syngene is looking for a skilled Bioinformatician to join its team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-omics data analysis (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics) and a strong background in computational biology.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform integrative analyses of multi-omics datasets to derive biological insights.
✔ Develop and automate bioinformatics pipelines for data processing and visualization.
✔ Conduct differential gene expression, functional enrichment, and pathway analysis.
✔ Apply statistical and machine learning techniques (regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction).
✔ Collaborate with researchers to translate computational findings into actionable hypotheses.
✔ Ensure version control, documentation, and reproducibility in workflows.
Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
Technical Skills Required:
✅ Programming: Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), R (optional).
✅ Multi-omics Data Analysis: NGS, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, proteomics, metabolomics.
✅ Statistics: Hypothesis testing, probability distributions, correlation analysis.
✅ Data Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2, Plotly.
✅ Machine Learning (Preferred): Supervised/unsupervised learning, predictive modeling.
