Executive/Senior Executive – Quality Control Job at Biocon

Responsibilities: As an Executive or Senior Executive in the Quality Control department at Biocon, your key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting samples, conducting tests, and issuing test reports following documented procedures.
  • Handling and operating sophisticated laboratory instruments such as HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), GC (Gas Chromatography), UV (Ultraviolet) spectrophotometers, IR (Infrared) spectrometers, and KF Titrators.
  • Adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain lab safety and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) while managing quality records.
  • Performing analytical and process validation, as well as calibrating instruments as per standard procedures.
  • Adhering to product specifications, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and IOPs (Instrument Operating Procedures).

Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have:

  • A Master’s degree in Chemistry (MSc Chemistry).
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant work experience in Quality Control, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry.

Skills Needed:

  • Proficiency in using chromatography techniques such as HPLC and GC.
  • Strong knowledge of spectroscopy, including UV and IR spectrometers.
  • Basic understanding of volumetric solution preparation and calibration of instruments.
  • Good communication and analytical skills, with the ability to adhere to laboratory and documentation standards.
