Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Database Developer at Premier Research, you will play a critical role in designing and managing clinical trial databases to ensure accurate data capture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing eCRFs and Data Entry Screens: Create electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) for EDC studies and data entry screens for paper-based studies based on approved protocols and annotated CRFs.
- Database Development: Build, configure, and test clinical databases in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Programming and Validation: Develop field derivations, edit checks, consistency checks, validations, procedures, and rules to ensure data integrity.
- Data Extraction and Reporting: Write programs for data extraction and develop study reporting environments, including CRF and non-CRF data, transforming data into required reporting formats.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data management and study teams to align on technical requirements and define elements of the Data Management Plan.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive database documentation for the Trial Master File (TMF) to meet regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Skills

- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. Life Sciences (if you have trained in or worked with Clinical Data Management / CDMS systems)
- B.Sc. Biostatistics / Bioinformatics (with SQL and data programming exposure)
- M.Sc. in Computer Science / IT / Data Analytics
- Experience: 0-3 years of practical experience with commercial CDMS or EDC platforms (e.g., Oracle RDC/Inform, Medidata Rave, DataLabs). Alternatively, proven expertise in primary job functions.
- Technical Skills: 1-2 years of SQL programming experience is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (excellent English, verbal and written). Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with drug development and clinical trial processes is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Proven ability to deliver quality work, meet deadlines, and ensure a positive customer experience.
