🔬 Key Responsibilities

As a Scientist in the ARIA Computational Biology team, you will:

• Extract biological insights from multi-modal omics and screening data.
• Characterize disease endotypes, mechanisms, and novel therapeutic targets.
• Develop platforms for target prioritization across diseases and therapeutic areas.
• Analyze RNA and protein isoform complexity using long-read transcriptomics and proteomics.
• Build advanced capabilities for discovering disease-enriched isoforms.
• Collaborate with data science and IS teams to integrate computational tools into Amgen’s R&D platforms.
• Develop automated pipelines, interactive portals, and workflows (Nextflow, RShiny).

🎓 Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science OR
• Master’s degree + 3 years relevant research experience
• Strong skills in Python, R, Linux/Unix, HPC, Git
• Proven track record in single-cell omics analytics
• Experience designing holistic computational research strategies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-driven, collaborative mindset

💡 Preferred Qualifications

• Strong immunology expertise (oncology/inflammatory disease context)
• Deep understanding of isoform biology and long-read sequencing analytics
• Experience with foundation models, biomedical knowledge graphs
• Familiarity with datasets like DepMap, HCA, TCGA, GTEx, Tahoe-100M
• Experience deploying tools to RShiny, Nextflow, interactive portals, agentic systems
