The Scientist – Computational Biology job in Hyderabad at Amgen (ARIA team) offers an exciting opportunity for talented researchers skilled in bioinformatics, single-cell omics, multi-omics data analysis, and computational biology.

🔬 Key Responsibilities
As a Scientist in the ARIA Computational Biology team, you will:
- Extract biological insights from multi-modal omics and screening data.
- Characterize disease endotypes, mechanisms, and novel therapeutic targets.
- Develop platforms for target prioritization across diseases and therapeutic areas.
- Analyze RNA and protein isoform complexity using long-read transcriptomics and proteomics.
- Build advanced capabilities for discovering disease-enriched isoforms.
- Collaborate with data science and IS teams to integrate computational tools into Amgen’s R&D platforms.
- Develop automated pipelines, interactive portals, and workflows (Nextflow, RShiny).
🎓 Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science OR
- Master’s degree + 3 years relevant research experience
- Strong skills in Python, R, Linux/Unix, HPC, Git
- Proven track record in single-cell omics analytics
- Experience designing holistic computational research strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven, collaborative mindset
💡 Preferred Qualifications
- Strong immunology expertise (oncology/inflammatory disease context)
- Deep understanding of isoform biology and long-read sequencing analytics
- Experience with foundation models, biomedical knowledge graphs
- Familiarity with datasets like DepMap, HCA, TCGA, GTEx, Tahoe-100M
- Experience deploying tools to RShiny, Nextflow, interactive portals, agentic systems
