Job Overview
The Safety Science Analyst will assist in Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PSS) operations, managing adverse event (AE) reports from clinical trials and post-marketing surveillance. The role involves data entry, regulatory submissions, and ensuring compliance with global safety reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Perform case intake and triage of safety reports from clinical trials and post-marketing sources.
✔ Data entry of adverse events into safety databases.
✔ Write patient narratives and code AEs using MedDRA (for marketed products).
✔ Assist in listedness assessment against product labels.
✔ Generate queries for missing/discrepant data in consultation with medical staff.
✔ Submit expedited SAE reports to clients, regulatory authorities, and ethics committees within deadlines.
✔ Assist in reconciliation of safety databases.
✔ Ensure compliance with SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and regulatory requirements.
✔ Maintain documentation related to adverse event reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience: 0-6 months in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, or related fields (e.g., Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Data Management).
- Freshers with relevant degrees may apply.
