Key Responsibilities

As an Executive in the FRD-Orals Department, your role will involve:

  1. Literature Search & Product Understanding: Conduct in-depth research to understand the product and interpret data essential for product development.
  2. Product Strategy Design: Prepare and design primary product strategies. Collaborate with the group leader or team leader to discuss and refine these strategies.
  3. Product Development Planning: Plan and execute product development activities aimed at achieving the desired product profile. Compile relevant data to support development.
  4. Pre-Formulation Studies: Plan and monitor pre-formulation studies, ensuring comprehensive data compilation for each project.
  5. Formulation & Process Optimization: Execute various formulation optimization and process trials, compile data, and evaluate trial outcomes.
  6. Stability Studies: Monitor the stability data of product batches and provide regular updates on project progress.
  7. Documentation: Maintain laboratory notebooks and assist in the documentation of controlled documents, ensuring proper data compilation during development stages.
  8. Batch Execution: Assist in the execution of scale-up, exhibit batches, characterization batches, process validation batches, and commercial batches at manufacturing sites in consultation with the group leader.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in formulation development, particularly in oral drug formulations, would be an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
    • Knowledge of formulation processes and stability studies
    • Good documentation and communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate within a team and manage project timelines.
