Key Responsibilities
The Associate STEM Content Analyst – Bio Abstraction will perform the following responsibilities:
- Analyze biotechnology and life sciences patents to extract key scientific information.
- Prepare structured patent abstracts following DWPI abstracting policies.
- Write concise summaries describing:
- Novel features of inventions
- Applications and uses
- Advantages of the technology
- Technical descriptions of patent innovations
- Deliver accurate technical summaries that enhance the value of Derwent patent intelligence products.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends in biotechnology, genetics, and microbiology.
- Meet production volume and quality targets set by the abstraction team.
- Participate in technical training and skill development programs.
- Support editorial quality standards and contribute to high-quality patent intelligence datasets.
Required Qualifications

Education
- M.Sc in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics)
- OR M.Tech Biotechnology
Experience
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in a related domain.
